The Gulf Shore Railway Company was incorporated under New Brunswick Cap. 49, April 6, 1885. It built a line from ((Pokemouche Junction)) (on the ((Caraquet Railway Company)) to ((Tracadie)), N.B., completing it in July 1887. The Gulf Shore Railway Company merged with the ((Caraquet Railway Company)) on April 13, 1911 and formed the ((Caraquet and Gulf Shore Railway Company)). Their combined trackage stretched from ((Gloucester Junction)) on the ((Intercolonial Railway)) main line near ((Bathurst)), N.B. to Tracadie, N.B. with a branch line from ((Pokemouche Junction)) to ((Shippigan)), N.B.
