The Winnipeg Railway Museum was told this week that it will have to close by the end of 2021 to facilitate repairs to Union Station, where the museum is housed. This apparently came as a complete surprise to the museum and they are working on how to reopen and where.

I was in Moncton, New Brunswick for a quick visit several weeks ago. I was there for work, so I didn’t take many photos of trains, but I’ll share what I did take. As you can see from the lead photo, I caught VIA Rail’s “Ocean” coming into the city.

I finally arrived at Bathurst Street and the steel bridge spanning the many tracks leading to Union Station in downtown Toronto. Now this is a railfan platform!
As I continued walking west along the Union Station Rail Corridor in downtown Toronto, I came across a rather attractive pedestrian bridge over the tracks. This is the Puente de Luz, aka “Bridge of Light”, reputed to be the largest public art installation in Canada.
