This is the CN employee timetable #24 for Newfoundland, effective April 27, 1975. This covers all subdivisions on the island.

Following on Ontario’s successful school rail car project, Newfoundland started a “School on Wheels” program where a mobile school traveled in a rail car and spent time in Newfoundland’s remote communities throughout the school year. “The School Car” by Randy P. Noseworthy tells the story.
The last incarnation of the Newfoundland Railway, Terra Transport, hasn’t run trains since 1988, but you can still see bits of it here and there on the CN network.

Via Twitter, I heard that the Railway Coastal Museum in downtown St. John’s, Newfoundland was closing. Apparently the city of St. John’s is in a cash crunch, and to save money they’ve decided the museum has to go. I visited this beautiful building and toured the museum in 2016. It’s a great museum.
