The Journal Box is the newsletter of the Vintage Locomotive Society, owners of the Prairie Dog Central tourist railway, and the for-profit Prairie Rail Services company.
I have contributed photos to the VLS on occasion and they have been published in several issues. Most of my photos are drone photos, since they have great photographers like Mark Perry and Andrew Nelson contributing many ground-level and behind-the-scenes photos.
The photos above are mine from a contracted session at the end of July 2022. They had a regularly scheduled train robbery train (that sounds odd) and asked me to take some drone photos of it. I was compensated for my small travel expenses and I was glad to be able to do it. At first I didn’t think it would happen, because it was raining, but the rain stopped long enough for me to put the drone in the air and take some photos.
