The CN Erwood subdivision is now a spur off the former CN Cowan subdivision, and runs from mile 0.0 in Swan River, MB to mile 7.1 to a Pioneer grain elevator.

The Erwood subdivision used to be from Swan River to Hudson Bay, a distance of 101.1 miles. The following is taken from the April 24th, 1977 employee timetable.

In 1977 the heaviest car permitted was 220,000 lbs. The following units were prohibited on the subdivision, except on the wye at Hudson Bay: CN 2000-3240, CN 4000-4017, CN 4900-6900 and CN 9400-9632.

Inland Cement had a quarry near Mafeking that provided railway traffic until it was closed in the mid 1990s.
