This is the CN Atlantic Region – Chaleur Area – employee timetable #5, taking effect on Sunday, April 30, 1961. This covers northern and eastern New Brunswick, and the Gaspé region of Quebec to Quebec City. NOTE that there were two supplements to this timetable – listed below.
Employee timetables include much more detail than public timetables, including sidings, weight restrictions, special instructions and even medical officers and watch inspectors.
After a timetable was issued, the railway often would issue a supplement to revise certain details, rather than print an entirely new timetable. Often timetables would be issued in the spring and fall and if things changed in between, a supplemental timetable would be printed.
