CP Shore Line Subdivision

The CP Shore Line subdivision used to run from Bay Shore (West Saint John) to St. Stephen, New Brunswick. Around 1934 the section from Bonny River (near St. George) to St. Stephen was removed.

The last mixed train (freight and passenger cars in one train) from Bay Shore to Bonny River was on September 25, 1955.

By 1960 the line only went to St. George, and in the early 1980s it saw only a few cars per year. An application was made by CP to abandon it in 1985.

The data in the table below is from the Canadian Pacific Railway employee timetable #19 for the Atlantic Region, effective April 28, 1968.
