NB Southern unit 3788 was a GP9 built for the Southern Pacific Railroad as SP 5782 in April 1957. It was renumbered to 3623 and finally 3788. In 1995 it was sold to the NB Southern Railway. It was acquired by the Hudson Bay Railway in 2001 and was stored unserviceable as of 2003.
