This image is on the desktop of my computer while I’m working. When I minimize windows, I catch a glimpse of this and it brings me a little peace and tranquility. I made it in Milan, Italy one evening.
I love all the little details in the image. The slight blurs of the people during the long exposure. The fellow getting on his bicycle by the restaurant. The tram whizzing by in the distance. The cobblestones in the street around the shiny rails. The Hotel Rio sign, of course.
It’s just a reminder to pause, to take a little breather and reflect… a long exposure of the moment.
