Northern Alberta Railways Forms

Railways used to run on coal – now they run on diesel and electricity – but they have always run with paper.

Train orders, rulebooks, timetables, telegrams, memos, correspondence, and on and on, railways use tons of paper.

Here are a few forms from the Northern Alberta Railways.

Form 22B was a blank memo form, with a “To” field and a series of horizontal lines to guide your writing.

Form 167 was a railway telegram form, with a header and a large blank area to write your message.
